46 Morgan, need info

The West Indies was a Charlie Morgan design that was built by Heritage Marine. Charlie sold Morgan Yachts when he was preoccupied with campaigning a 12 meter called Heritage in the America''s Cup. He then started Heritage Marine that built a series of race boats and cruisers. The Cruisers were called the West Indies. Try doing a search on Heritage.

Yes, and Heritage was picked up by Catalina... but no one seems to have info on this vessel, including dejanews... but thank you for your help.

Heritage Marine was not picked up by Catalina. Morgan Yachts was bought by Beatrice Foods then subsequently bought by Catalina.

For what it is worth there are two Heritage 46''s on Yachtworld

In any event they were mid-quality, medium sailing ability, boats. They were reasonably priced and were reasonably popular because they were reasonably priced.
