Looking for my first sail boat...
I am starting my search for my first sail boat. I want a boat that I can daysail and stay on for weekends. I think a boat in the 24'' to 26'' range would be adequate. This boat will be kept on a land-locked lake most of the time with possible trailered excersions to the Gulf coast.
My questions follow:
What makes and models fit the bill?
What kinds of things should I be particularly warry about in my search?
Since I would be ameanable to travelling to pick up a boat, what regions of the US would boats in this range be cheaper?
Pros and cons of center/dagger board boats and keel boats?
Any other information would be appreciated.
I appreciate the posts that various folks make on this site. I thank you in advance for any information you have for me.
