Moody 46

I''m considering a new Moody 46. Has anyone had experience with this boat, or one near in size, in heavy weather? Also, how do Moodys fair on the resale market. They seem to be slow movers. Thanks for any advice.

Moody''s I''ve seen (31 and 43) have appeared well designed for heavy weather, and built solidly too. Strong handholds above and below decks and plenty of them. Reasonably sized rigging and gear. Haven''t been out on one in anything over 15kts, however, and with all their cruising comforts, don''t expect they would perform like a Frers.

Paulk, thanks for info. The new Moody 46 is wide and flat in the stern. I''m concerned of tendancy to broach in a following sea. However, with the level of fit and finish, she should be able to weather any dockside event in fine style. Thanks. Stuart Calwell.
