"Cruising Cal" for Lake Superior

My sailing is done on Lake Superior where even in July, its cool, if not cold. My thoughts are that if I could find a sailboat with a "pilot house" then my family might find the sailing experience more fun. So I am looking at a 1972 "Cruising Cal": a 35'' boat that features the dinette and galley in the "house". You can sit at the dinette and watch the scenery go by sheltered from the cold. The price is right too as its less than $30,000. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of this boat?

We also are looking at the Cal 35, but we live in S Calf. We are leaving for Mexico next year and needed a bigger boat, we live on an Islander 30 now, and have sailed her hard for the last 6 years. We like the Pilot house also, but we are concerned about the heat in Mex. we,ll prob. put another hatch over the main salon. If you know of anyone or group that can give me some info on this boat I would like to get in touch with them. thanks Ray
