Trimarans are fairly rare beasties as sailboats go. The most common trimarans, at least in this country, are probably the Corsairs and related Farrier designs.
Chris White, also designs multihulls, and is based out of Massachusetts IIRC. I have sailed on a Newick designed tri, but don't remember the specifics the boats specs.
As one of the few multihull sailors on this site, I might be able to help you, so PM me if you have any more specific questions.
