seaworthy, solid boats - brands with poor websites

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a seaworthy, solid boat for longer cruises as my beneteau does not satisfy me.

Can you name me some brands available in the med or atlantic that are not extremely expensive such as swan and oyster ? I like pacific seacraft a lot but something may be wrong with the company, they no longer have european distributors and their boat range and designs have not changed even a little for a long time. Look at their web site, you will not have an idea about the cockpit size of their boats.

I am lookin for a 40-44 feet boat preferably a middle weight cruiser.

I am particularly curious about dehler 41ds but these guys, like seacraft, have a pretty bad web site. I mean is it so difficult to put a pdf file so I can put some serious time to go through 41DS' info ?

This, I do not understand.

I do have almost perfect web sites designed for business, and pleasure for myself in a short time with an optimal budget ? Why can't pacific seacraft and dehler do so ?

Can they not afford a digital camera, acrobat pro and a good web design company ?

note : i use a mac. maybe pc users have no problem ???

have you considered the higher performance yachts by Nauticat, such as the NC42?

From your post I take it that you are looking at new vessels. Pacific Seacraft is also building the Saga line which may be to your liking. Others currently making BlueWater boats in the 40-44' size range and NOT gold plated prices include:
Caliber, Tayana, CaboRico, Gozzard, Valiant, Island Packet and some would say Tartan and Sabre as well.

Nauticat is definitely one solid, seaworthy boat and we considered it with my girlfriend.

The boat may be new or between 1-5 years old. A new boat will probably be too much of a hassle. I am in Istanbul and few of those brands have reps here and they would not have a boat to show. Got to travel to other countries, choose, negotiate, order, wait ! Nice but I feel it is better to go for a newish boat. Will check those brands thanx.
