Fl. Sailboat surveyor needed

I am looking for recommendations of surveyors in the Port Charlott/Punta Gorda area of Florida. Would really prefer a person who knows sailboats, more specifically, Island Packets.

Any help will be appreciated.

I'd get Dave Pascoe http://www.yachtsurvey.com/dhpascoe.htm . He may cost more than alternatives but he has some pretty well documented expertise. As to "knows IPs", I'd be surprised if any particular surveyor knows a line of boats materialy more than others, but I personally think you might be better of if the surveyor comes to a particular make with minimal pre-existing expectations, rather than more...

Good luck.

PS - then again, for an IP perhaps a house inspector could suffice (grin).

Thanks much Sailingfool. I do very much appreciate the info and humor. However, a house of sorts afloat is just what I am looking for, so your humor is comforting as well.

Thanks again.
