Large Cockpits

Hi,

I am looking to buy a pocket cruiser in the 22-25 foot range. The Rhodes 22 and Capri 22 both have cockpits that are 7'' and up. Any other suggestions? 6''6" would have to be a minumum. Thanks!

A Sonar would be a bit quicker, and has a huge cockpit. Accommodations aren''t luxurious, but it''s a stable keelboat, and good looking. Availability and pricing may depend on where you are.

The Cape Dory 25 has a fairly large cockpit with nice wide seats and you can put one cushion across the engine hatch and one across the stantions to the stern rail and have a nice couch type setup at the rear of the cockpit, interior is somewhat small but workable, and the boat sails well. The Compac 23 is another choice, large cockpit and large interior for a 23 footer, I felt that it was a little light on ballast compared to the Cape Dory, but it is wider so its a trade off for stability thru a wide beam or stability thru more ballast in the keel.
