30' Pearson Triton ????

What do you guys make of this:
30' Pearson Triton retro 1995

The price seems to me to be a misprint. 250 g's for a daysailor.

An extended (by 2 feet) Triton hull??

For $250,000 I could 3/4 all the remaining Triton in the US.

Sam

SailorMitch will become famous soon enough
Yeah, this little project has been making the rounds in Pearson circles. Needless to say, it will take a special person to go for this at anything close to the asking price. Some might say a crazy person? Sweet looking boat, but yikes!

Comparing a modified Pearson Triton to a Hinckley... this guy is on some strong drugs. And asking 15-20x the market value of a triton for a bastardized boat... confirms it.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I saw an old Baba 40 that was totally stripped then modernized ... the price was high but it definitly had the value of the high price.

there was a guy/new designer that did this to a GulfStar 37. complete gut of boat filled some thru-hull holes redid the interior in all white (like plastic look) up graded the rig and mast/boom and sail handling ect., and started at around 200k is now down to 61k if memorie serves me right. i love my bost G.S. 37 but not for that kind of $$$$. could by a lot better boat with that $$
