Info on a Cape Dory 25 needed

I am looking for any information on the Cape Dory 25, not the 25D. I was wondering if this would be a good coastal cruiser with potential on doing a semi-offshore crossing.

Been there already. I might have to join that forum as well. LOL. I was wanting to see if there was any other sailors out there with a CD25.

Go here and askhttp://www.capedory.org/board/.\

I sail a 25D and a member of the CD board and I know for certain that the answer to your question will be a resounding yes. Go there and you'll get first had reports of cruising in a CD25. They don't have standing headroom for one. What's your desire vs confort level?

Long range on a Cape Dory 25

I met a nice guy last year in Grenada that sailed down from Connecticut on his 25' Cape Dory named Meander. His name is Lawrence. I think he proved the semi-offshore capability of the boat (or at least of himself).

I don't know if he has a website or anything, but you could try and Google him.

Nice little boat, looked well suited to singlehanding.

Cheers,
ConchCruzer
