Opinions on new motorsailing hull forms.

Hello group.
I am interested in opinions on the newest motorsailing hull forms such as the Cabo Rico Northeast 400 & 480, or the Bruckmann 480. Both Mark Ellis designs. Are they suitable for offshore passages, or should they be restricted to coastal cruising? Their large, low cockpits, low transom with door and large sliding salon doors make me skeptical of their ability to keep water out of the boat in offshore conditions. These same features however, are what I find attractive in the boat. Great access to the water for boarding dingies, fishing and snorkeling. I here they sail fairly well too! Opinions please.
