Talking Happy wife = nicer boat

I'm so amused. I finally bought a boat - a Columbia 26K - which is not the boat I wanted, but it was the boat I could afford at the time.

My wife was very apprehensive about sailing (until I took her out). She was immediately in love. I had bought her sailing lessons for Christmas, and she's off taking the course right now. Last night she called and said, "I love this, it's perfect, I want to do more, lots more. We need to look for a bigger, more capable boat."

Oh. Oh. Twist my arm. Force me to look for a nicer boat.

I'm very amused.

Cheers!

Well, there is a Tayana for sale on this board. It is pretty. It is very capapble. Not sure about the PO as I have seen pictures that he is a cross-dresser... but other than that, your wife would be very happy!!

The cross-dresser bit doesn't bother me. Might be a tad outside my price range. 'Course, he does have it listed as "best offer."

Cheers!

You're very lucky, better take care of that gal. My wife would trade the sailboat for a cushy stinkpot in a heartbeat.

One of the unexpected joys of my life is that my wife enjoys sailing nearly as much as I do.

My wife is like that too....wanted a bigger boat...

and now I have to haul the extra head, the beds, the galley etc.etc....all useless weight......

Next time, I'll take her balooning....so I can have the boat as I want
