Mason 43

Howdy folks
Im looking at a Mason 43. It has just been re-decked with F/G, and has a new motor. Anyone have any opinions on Masons?. I went aboard this one linked and it was very clean with only some minor cosmetic issues. I am more interested in anyones opinion that has sailed with or on one. Thanks, Steve

Yes, I have an opinion: Awesome boats. I could not open the yachtworld listing here (only partially). Probably an issue on my end, not theirs.

Old boat though, but great name. I have not been on a 43, so this is second hand. All depends on how it was maintained, but Mason's are generally regarded as top-end boats (for the time).

Take care.

Yes I think condition is the key word. This one seems to have alot going for it. But a complete survey in on the way, so that might be a different story. I does have nearly new inboom furling main and a new yanmar. Needs a few things that are just for looks like the dodger has alot of wear and the cabin top could use some paint. Its still on my list of maybe's. Thanks for your input. Take care, Steve

Mason/pae

I've owned a Mason 44, 54, and a Tashiba 31 (all built by TaShing). I know the company and the boats VERY well. Happy to answer your questions. Steve Schneider

I know this thread was last week...but the problem with this boat in NC waters, and alot of places in general, would be the 6"3' draft. I think the offset hatch way is neat and definately allows for a large rear stateroom for an aft-cockpit both.
