I think all the newer ones are out racing. I crewed a few years on one that belonged to a friend and when they get sold it seems to be to people the PO already knew or thru the GOB network.
I may know of one for sale. What year/details are you looking for?

Also check soundings and regional sailing mags like spinsheet, lat38 etc.
Due to demand and low price (relatively) brokers are very often NOT involved in the sale of J-22's and you won't see yacht world listings.
I don't know where you are located but around here there are a lot of J-22's that really aren't used anymore. They sit unwashed and unloved. I would suggest that you contact the local fleets and yacht clubs in areas with big fleets and place an ad J-22 wanted. I would expect a big response. These are great boats and surprisingly the older boats if reasonably well maintained and with good sails are quite competitive.
We're looking for a small sailboat that we can put on a trailer every once in a while and still be reasonably competitive in PHRF racing. At the moment we'd be daysailing only and we are fairly new sailors.
We were thinking about the J/24's but based on yours and a few other opinions here, we're going to look hard at the 22's.
One word of caution, some PHRF fleets require lifelines and minimal cruising accomodations so the one design version of the J-22 does not qualify for PHRF in those areas. You might want to check with the local measurer.
