Jackstands for new boat

Hi,

I need to get jack stands for my new boat since the cradle it came with is not allowed at the club anymore. I was wondering where do I get jack stands from and about how much do they cost? Also wondering how many I need. I came up with min. of 6 is that correct for a catalina 27?

Don't forget the security chains. Am curious about a ready supply of stands too.

Valiente will become famous soon enough
With certain types and certain keels, you'll want large planks as well, plus the ability to stake down the stands. If they are staying at the club, go for tripods. If you are taking them with you, go for foldable bipods.

What kind of club doesn't allow cradles? They are more compact than jackstands in most cases.

Yeah i think they don't want cradles cuase they are bulky in the off season to store. How much would the tri pod jack stands cost me?

I like Hostar and they are competitively priced. They nest real nice and don't take up a lot of room during storage.

Where are you located?

saurav16,
I have a set of boat stands I bought new and used for a couple of years for my Sabre 28 (did full on renovation in my barnyard). They're in central PA, north of York. I spend most weekends in Annapolis (but no longer have a pickup truck to haul them)
