ALbin Ballad ... anyone?

I currently own a 26 C&C and like it a lot, but it is not really a quick boat, on the other hand, i love the shape of an Albin Ballad, looks pretty damn quick!

any of you guys have any experience with these boats?

btw its 30 feet and this one actually came from Holland!

I haven't been on a Albin Ballad, but have been on an Albin Vega, and like the Albin boats from what I've seen of them. The Albin Vega is a bit smaller IIRC, 27' or 28' versus 30'. You can read a lot more about them at this website.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

We currently own a Vega, but we really liked the looks and layout of the Ballad. It is a bit difficult (I found) finding information on the ballad, but I do understand that they are a responsive and quick boat. Not sure how it stacks up against the C&C though...?

I am afraid I am not much help, but they are really a lovely boat. Thanks for the pictures. You don't see too many of these boats out there on the New England Coast.

In the meantime, you might want to try these sites:
