hard dodger vs soft dodger

Hello all:
I'll be selling my Cal 29 in the Pacific northwest (eg: rainy in spring/winter) and want to put a dodger on it that I'll do myself this winter. If you were a prospective buyer would you rather a hard dodger or soft given the cruising area and the boat (Cal 29, inboard diesel)?

Thanks

I don't think either will bring you more $ than the cost of doing it.

Coastie has a point. I do though, have a hard dodger, which I find to be very useful as a place for doing things. For instance, I keep my sunshower up there, and then I can easily shower in the cockpit. It's also a good place for a solar panel.

For Alex, it is HARD to put any DODGER on his boat. However, I don't blame him for doing what his wife tells him to do.

Alex, do you have the boat home and the dodger off yet?

Take care,

Tom

Yes, that CRAP is on till end of this week...ehehehe

I am bringing the home home next Thursday. Will leave Vilamoura on Tuesday night, we decided to pass the cape at night...to see how it looks like...

I'm a bit nervous but we are going. Giulietta and the kids will drive, me and Miguel will pass the cape at night...I heard horror stories...

If the winds are kicking bad, we'll spend the night in Lagos and pass the cape before 7 am, before the "devils" wake up...its the only way to go North there.

Alex,
You've got it made, brother...

P.S.:
I've seen PB's dodger, and I have to say it's a nice piece of work.
