Nautical 60 for world cruising

I'm having trouble finding info on this boat and am wondering if there are owners of this boat that have crossed an ocean and can provide feedback.

Wing...our best friends had one of these before the swallowed the hook and I've sailed and been aboard many times. The boat itself is massively constructed and huge even for a 60 footer and is certainly a capable ocean cruiser. Interiors vary as do systems...so the devil with these boats is in the detail of how they've been kept and used. You can get them cheap and with a lot of systems issues and spend the time to make them right as my friends did...or you can get them expensive with the work completed. They are not light weather boats, have a lot of windage, and they take a lot to drive them...but they are quite nice in heavier conditions. It is however a lot of boat to handle for a short crew given its' design and even though I am a big boat fan...this one needs some extra help to manage in gales/storms.
They would also be a great boat for the crewed charter trade given the accomodations and deck space.

Cam is correct. I have one, and took it from Luperon to Georgetown last year, sometimes in nasty weather. Its very stable and comfortable but being heavy, is slow in light winds. With a bow thruster, I can singehand with no problem as long as the weather stays decent.
Workmanship is quality. The systems on this kind of boat (big and expensive) can get really complicated. Most of them are +20 years old and dealing with PO installations can be daunting; the mass of wires that go nowhere is amazing. One of the fairleads broke, and no one could tell me where to get another one. By chance I was in Minney's in Newport Beach and found a used one.

its been a couple of years. It was owned by a guy who was sent on a long vacation by the feds and the US Marshall's auctioned it off. He fixed it up pretty nice, kind of over complicated.

Thanks for the info, I would love to hear more in regards to the company (found nothing on the web) and what should I look for on the boat? (stringers, mast base?)

What would you think it will avarage on an ocean cruise in terms of miles?

I don't know what I can tell you in terms of speed, it depends on wind, but at 1800 RPM with a Ford Lehman 120 it does 7 knots.
Two problems I see, water tanks hard to replace and the steering brackets are really hard to get to when the bolts fall off!

Just a few more things if you don't mind....do you happen to know anything about the Nautical Development company itself? Is there a website with a brochure or specs from the company?

Does your boat have the main in-mast furling system and if so, is it pretty reliable?

As for its sailing characteristics, say in 15 knots wind on a beam reach what kind of speed can you expect? On downwind with following seas is it easy to keep the boat on its course?

I've got nothing special as far as the mast furling. I think at 15 knots beam reach I was doing about 6, no not that fast but just magnificent.
I cannot remember on the downwind/following seas situation.

And I don't know anything about the company, sorry. I confess that most sailors are probably better than me on wringing out speed.
