Need a Shoal Draft Floating Condo

Probably grates like fingernails on chalkboard to the purists but I need a floating condo if I'm to get my wife involved (prefers hotels over camping but loves the water). I will use it for day sails on Biscayne Bay and weekends to the Keys and, occasionally, the near Bahamas. This will be a my first boat and need to get in to something probably in the 28-35 range as inexpensively as possible. I know Irwins and Bombay are fat cows but they are big down below and cheap (probably for a reason). Any recommendations?

thanks

For the wife, cost is not a consideration!

Take the "atalina" off and just get a cat!

Look for a small catamaran. A Gemini 105 is 34' long and far more space than you'll ever see on a comparable length monohull. A Catalac 8M might be another good choice.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Sailormann will become famous soon enough
Bayfield's are fairly roomy, shallow draft, well-built. Nonsuch are pretty well the biggest monohulls out there. You won't believe it until you see it.

I am a big fan of Catlinas and they are perfect for your sailing area. If you have specific questions about specific models, just let me know.

Look for a Gemini cat, 34' long 18" draft , well regarded.
