De 32

Howzit,
Downeast 32 would be a good choice for a taller person. I looked at but did not buy one on Maui last year and regret it. It's full keel and heavy disp. make it a world cruiser if need be. Headroom is in fact 6'6" . The one I looked at had major engine trouble, but was otherwise solid. 1986 model I think. Google downeast 32 and look in Sailing texas boats for sale . All the info is there. Good luck.
Leonard

Not as important as I thought.

I'm 6' and standing headroom was a deal breaker for me. Until I bought my last, and current boat. It was a deal I couldn't pass up on. Now that I have the boat it isn't even an issue. Rarely do I need to stand down below. My galley is set up where I can sit on the settee when I'm cooking. Even in a boat with standing headroom It's easier to sit to put on foulies anyway. The only down side is you have no choice but to sit on the head. It may not work for you, but I was adament about being able to stand. Think about it. Brandon
