Survey Tomorrow - C&C 27 MkV

It has been a tough time getting the everyone on the same page, but we will put a 1985 C&C Mk V in the slings tomorrow and start pounding on the hull. I am going to have a chance to sail the boat from it's marina to the yard and back, after the survey. This is about an hour each way, so I'll definately have time to find out alot about the feel of the boat, versus just the technical side of the survey. I really don't expect problems, so I'm looking forward to a nice sail. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good Luck, L.E.!

I'm leaving Charlotte on Monday headed to Fla to do the same thing.

I did the same thing a year ago and I had no problems with my MKV. Just a few spots on the deck that will need attention in a few years (based on the survay) and some leaking windows that will get replaced this coming winter. Great boat to sail if your a racer (very favorable phrf) and still lots of fun to weekend on. I purchased a new set of racing sails over the winter and am having a great time on the race course.
