HI Cam, I kinda thought I was going to hear from you.

I live on the lakes Huron to be exact and 4 weeks is a long cruise for me so I bow to your experience.

Our favorite boat is a CC, but like Cam says it's hard to find a decent one for under a hundred thousand. The larger CC's have much more room below where you'll be living. Engine access is better. abet higher. Roomy cockpits. The one thing I like about the mid cockpits is the overall visibility of not only the boat, but of the horizon. I think it might be true about the windage aspect, but it can't be much more than I have with our boat now (aft cockpit with raised cabin). If and when I get another boat, it's going to be a CC.
