This is not a problem if you learn its characteristics. The boat’s behavior when backing down is not noticeably different from any other boat without an offset prop. Sabres have offset props to eliminate prop wash over the rudder and so that the auxiliary engine can be mounted almost level in the boat. When mounting the engine nearly horizontal, the
propeller is much more efficient compared to one that is canted downward 15 degrees. I still have the original 2 blade fixed prop and have no problems. You want some cheese and crackers to go with that WHINE!
