Boat for Fast Passage, Liveaboard, long term??

O.K. I''ve got a Bristol 35 and wish it was here, but it''s 2500 miles away. I''ve always liked full keel, forgiving cruisers. Always disdained fin keel, spade rudder, and, especially, chopper-gunned hulls (except when racing in NE Harbor)....so what''s a good, strong, reasonably fast cruiser in the 36 to 45 foot range going back to the ''70s and''80''s. I know what''s what and can find delamination, rudder problems, etc. and have rerigged, rebuilt diesels and glassed my ass off. Want to find something not TOO tender for running carib to new england and back once in awhile.......

Take a look at the Columbias. I am buying a C-36, and I know several Columbia owners. Check out the e-mail list.

He does not want a boat with chopped glass. Columbias often had chopped glass for their inner laminates.

The ct47 Kaufman/Ladd ketch we currently have is probably exactly what you want.
Touch base if interested.
