Beneteau 311

I''m considering a 2000 beneteau 311. Would love to hear from those who own or have owned a 311. Id be sailing her mostly in Narr bay, out to Block Island once or twice each season and probably one annual outing to Nantucket / MV.

1) Tell me about her sailing performance. How well does she go to weather? Downwind? How well does she handle a blow? One of the boats Im looking at has a roll away main. I''ve never sailed one of these, what''s good / bad about this setup?

2) Mechanical / structural / layout issues. If you could change 3 things about her - what would you change. Is the 18hp auxilary enough power? Will it push her along at hull speed?

Anything you can tell me about the boat - good or bad would be appreciated.
