Capri vs. Oday vs. Potter

I am looking at the following boats. . .

Capri 18 and 22

O''Day Weekender 192

West Wright Potter 19

I find a lot good about each, and very little not so good. I am looking for something trailerable and will be used throughout the Chesapeake Bay for day sailing and overnights (myself and a child). Racing is not an interest.

I have looked at all three of these boats at the local marinas. To me, it seems that the Potter may be the best and the Capri may be more "bare bones." However, the Capri has a huge aftermarket for parts/accessories and support, whereas the Potter and O''Day do not.

I would welcome anyone''s comments and recommendations - Jason

The Bay is known for its light air, sudden thunderstorms and short chop. Of the three the Oday 22 is probably the best suited for the conditions and the West Wright Potter 19 the least suited with the Capri 22 somewhere in between. Parts for the Oday are not that hard to find or to make.
