Unhappy Need Help Please!

Okay my people need you help here please!
I have a 1974 C&C 33 that I just purchased , unfortunately some motherflower! stole my boom from my boat and i'm looking for one or a replacement for it, i don't have any info. (measurements or pic) for that boom, I looked at SailboatData but is not helping, if somebody here in this forum has a 1974 C&C 33 and can take a couple of pictures and share with me I will appreciate it or if you know of someone that has a spare or a replacement that are selling or where i can get one I will appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Need Help Please!

What region are you in? Most boating areas have local riggers who would/should be able to source you a new boom. Outside of that try to search craigslists etc for used bits for sale.

Sailboatdata gives an E meas of 10.75ft so the boom section will need to be nearly 12 ft long.

Re: Need Help Please!

Hi Faster, thanks for the info., that's what I thought that it could be around 12 plus feet long, what I will like to know is the shape of the tube, the boom that it had was a gooseneck pin size.

Call Rob at South Shore Yachts, 1-905-468-4340. Rob in his early youth was the parts gopher for C&C and on their demise inherited all the drawings and build lists. He can advise you on the source of the boom and my even have a replacement on hand. Among the C&C 29's since they where raced as a one design fleet all sheets flying only my boat and a few others have the original boom. So replacements must be available.

Re: Need Help Please!

Oh and if you need pics, let me know as there is a C&C 33 docked next to me and I could snap a few next weekend. The C&C construction crew has breakfast every friday morning, and I can solicit answers to any technical question you might have......

Hi FDR

That will be great if you can snap a couple of pictures of the boom in detail, that will help me a lot, in addition I need to know the shape of the boom and slot groove diameter, someone told me the shape of the boom is the same as the main mast, but I'm not sure of that, I will give Bob a call today and see what he has, thank you for joining the thread, I appreciate it. I will be looking forward for the pics.
