Sailormann,
I owned a 1976 C&C 30 II for about six years back in the '80s. That is a great boat, we did a lot of racing with her and as long as we got the right end pointed forward, she did quite well. The boat is an absolute pleasure in a big breeze, very stiff. I think the only design changes during its life were raising the boom a foot in 1977 and switching to diesels around 1980. Be sure to get involved with the C&C email group, and feel free to PM with anything specific.

I wouldn't mind having another one some day...

Thanks for the recommendation. I think we are in the process of buying one and having it refit - waiting for a final quote on the upgrades. Boat seems like it will be ideal, but as the water is still pretty hard here in Toronto, we can't sail it before buying.

aburchell44 is on a distinguished road
I know its been a while for this thread, but i am buying one this week. Just sold my Sonic 23'. What a buyers market out there!!!!

The one I am looking at has a Yanmar Diesel with less then 30 hours. Harken roller furling, barient self tailing winches and more.

The one thing they did do is raise the boom when they installeed the wheel.

It looks kinda whacked. i realize they upgraded this on the 1977 models.

Maybe Ill drop it down.

Nova Scotia
Andrew
