Question Any C& C Landfall 38 owners out there?

Hi
Appreciate your help.. I am an ex Pearson 10m sailor who bought a 32 foot trawler a few years ago .. lovely boat but I have decided that if I gulp a few Aleves a day to keep my arthritis under control I can go back to sailing.. the C & C Landfall 38 seems to be one of the boats that would appeal .. my racing days are over but the Landfall 38 looks good and based on PHRF ratings should sail well... Any suggestions, comments, recommendations will be much appreciated. Any build weaknesses that I should have a surveyor check in particular? Thanks to all. Regards Greg

I have owned a Landfall 38 for 12 years, on Lake Superior. I am still thrilled with the boat even though she is 25 years old. She sails very well, I just reduced sail to a 130 and love it.

Yes, I have a landfall 38. Just bought it a year ago and doing extensive repairs. One surprise is that the fuel tank has a leak. I've joined this group to see how difficult it is to remove it and replace it.

I have owned my C&C Landfall 38 for 24 years! It is a 1983 vintage and I purchased it used. I have made lots of upgrades over the years. I have cruised to the Bahamas and back over the winter of 91/92 and have cruised all over the Chesapeake Bay with it. I now live aboard my boat and have for the past 7 or 8 years now. Would love to share any info you might like to know...

Practical Sailor is looking for photos of a Landfall 38 for an upcoming article. If you have high resolution images for review could you please send an e-mail to the editor? You can e-mail me via the Practical Cailor website, customer service (left nav bar), "ask the editor." Photos need to be submitted by March 5, 2009.

Thanks,

c&c landfall

I have a 1979 Landfall I believe it to be hull #4. I have had Pegasus for 3 years now and have lived aboard the whole time on beautiful Puget Sound.
