C&C 24 Table Install/configuration

As part of my major renovation of a C&C 24, I'm finally getting around to making interior repairs.

Does anyone know how the table is supposed to be set up? The one I have obviously goes around that mast compression post, but what holds it in position?

Is there supposed to be a through-hole (s) in the compression post? Maybe the previous owner used the boat for 20 years and never drilled the required hole, but I can't see any way to use it as it is.

I can remove the two bolts and the teak block that will allow it to go around the post, but there is nothing (tightening the bolts after reinstallation won't do it) of keeping it in position vertically or preventing rotation.

There seems to be a hole in the center that would allow a bolt or pin to be slipped through to hold it, but there is no evidence of a hole to do it.

Any ideas? I'll be happy to snap some pictures if that helps.

Thanks.

Table mounting

Hi Captainmurph. If you are still looking for details on repairs, I just bought a c&c24 last spring. The table is original as is most of the other stuff. Let me know if you are still looking for anything.

Swivel Table

I know its a year old post but you never know. I have the same table in my 24 and it swivels out of the way. I guess you could drill a hole in the bracket on the bottom, tap it and insert a bolt to tighten it so it doesn't swivel. See picture attached. Cheers
