C&C 32 raw water pump for 2gm yanmar
Anyone have any idea who made the raw water pump (upper left black pulley)?
All I need is the gasket that fits on the back.
My Yanmar dealer is stumped and I've got the feeling that this is either something only C&C put on or it is some kind of aftermarket thing.
The picture is not my boat so others must have the same pump.

Jabsco, Sherwood, or Oberdorfer (in that order) though I gotta say it's pretty hard to ID a pump by looking at its pulley! ;)
btw it's not difficult to make your own gaskets for this sort of thing.

Depending on the model and size, you may want to look into replacing the back cover and seal with a unit from Speedseal. Welcome to Speedseal
It does away with the paper gasket (uses an o-ring), as well as the tiny screws for the back cover, which makes checking and replacing the impeller much easier. That said, I would assume you will need to contact the company with measurements to determine if any of the kits will work. We installed one three years ago and have been very happy with it.
The pump is a Jabsco 2760-0001.
I replaced the gasket but no joy, it still leaks.
The rebuild kit costs more than a new pump (go figure).
With a 29 year old engine this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.
I am thinking of replacing the engine with a new Yanmar 2YM15.
Hell, if the new engine lasts 29 years I'll be 94 before I need to worry about another replacement.
It may be leaking from the shaft seal... this is not a big deal to fix if you have a vise and a workbench available. I wouldn't be surprised if Mainesail has a video on his site for this. Compass Marine's Photo Galleries at pbase.com
While replacing the engine is not a bad idea, it's an expensive one and an investment you'll likely not recover (if that's of concern to you) esp if this one runs well and reliably.
For what its worth...the water pump on 2 gm and 3 gm
both raw and fresh water cooled that I have seen is
located behind the lower left pulley that we see in the picture...so very well may be add on...In any case bad to have leaking, a friend changing impellor for the first time
on his new boat had the screws rust from a leak and break.
Depending on how motor was maintained and run
(maintained and run hard is best, not babied)
motor could have a lot more life in it.
