C22 deck rail system

Hello

I see some C22's have the deck safety lines that run around the boat. I have a 73' that does not have them but am wondering if there is a kit that would work to do this. Any thoughts appreciated, thanks.i

Well I know for a fact that Catalina Direct sell the stanchions. You could call them to see what other parts they sell and if they could make up a list but but it basically amounts to vinyl coated cable and some turnbuckles and connectors that you could source.

I have them and I am not sure they are all that great. For one thing they make it hard to go forward.

Re: C22 deck rail system

I replaced my lifelines this Spring using the kit from Catalina direct:

Catalina Direct: Lifeline Standard Kit C-22, CP-22

They have two versions, standard and deluxe. The deluxe is two pieces per side, so the front doesn't go slack when the gate is open. I went with the standard. My wife wishes I'd gone with the deluxe.

It may be a bigger pain if your boat didn't have them originally...I'm not sure if you'll have the attachment points on the pulpit or stern rail, or if there are good flat places to put the stanchions. I'd check on that stuff before buying anything, or they might know at Catalina Direct.

There are pics and stuff of mine here:
