81 C30 Tall Rig, "Tally Ho" in Annapolis (Eastport). She is my first boat, I bought her in November of '09 and lived on her while learning to sail until October of '10. (still doing the learning to sail part).

My SO and I are really interested in the 30's...when you sitting in the driveway, do you mean like on a trailer?

The C30 is not considered a trailer boat - too big. The only time I've heard of them being in a person's driveway is when they have them on blocks, are doing major work on it and the boat will be there a while.

Hello Everyone:
We just bought our C30 Last week. We sailed it from San Diego CA to Ventura CA. A trip of 157 miles. She was great!!! We had 35 to 40 Knot winds(by the Anemometer). She surffed down 8ft waves at 8.4 knots. Very safe When reefed main and head sail. Loved the ride

Welcome to the C30 family. Sounds like a wild ride.

Mar-Tenie is a 1983 Catalina 30. Not a tall rig.
The reason for the trailer is, I can keep her on the dry across the street form the launch. I have launched sail boats for 31 years. I think I can manage.
We had her surveyed. She is sound but dirty. A lot of good stuff inside.
