In the market for a C30.

Anyone have a C30 for sale under 10,000 bucks, or know of one... will also trade a '91 Harley Davidson Dyna glide if there's an interest! Thanks ahead of time. Q

You might want to share your location and how far you are willing to go for one.

Re: In the market for a C30.

I know my friend's father sold a one nice but in need of updating for around $2500 though since he is well into his 80's I doubt he would take the Dyna Glide in trade! :-) but they are out there if you look. Wish I had contacted him a week earlier, as it would have been mine for free!

I just did a yachtworld.com search and there are a few. Again, it depends on your location. They are out there.

I have a 1974 Cal 3-30 hadn't thought about selling it but a Dyna sounds nice for an ol man tired of kicking my 1941 Knuck !

Since we're in the Catalina forum, I'm guessing a C-30 is a Catalina 30.

Just got back to Louisiana from Norway... the bike's been in the garage for 10 years and the humidity has done a hell of a number on it, so don't know how much it'll take to get the rust off of it... what a pain in the ass... :/

An SOS pad and some elbow grease will do wonders on the chrome. Been riding Harleys for years, try it, you'll be amazed.

As for finding a Catalina 30 under $10K, I'd start with the local boating rag. Around here it's the Salty Dog. I don't know if they cover your area, but boating rags are usually free at the local West Marine and marinas.

Next fire up Google and start calling local marinas and asking. They may not spend a lot of time/money advertising a $10K boat but they'll talk on the phone. You may even get "Well yeah, Fred's been talking about selling his boat let me put you in touch with him."

I found my first boat helping out an old guy in the marina and asking "do you know anybody selling a ..."

You never know. Best of luck with the Harley and with the search.

Re: In the market for a C30.

Just thought of something else. Try Sailing Texas.

Despite the name they have postings for boats from a wide area. There's a Catalina 30 for $15K available right now but it's in Florida. Keep an eye on their site for something local.

And in this price range don't forget Craig's List.

Again best of luck.

Re: In the market for a C30.

I know of one or two. Where are you located? They may not be all that relevant to you.
