Hi BV...The cal forum is an email list which you can find under "resources" at the top of the page. Once you scroll down to see the "cal" forum you then need to click on "subscribe" and that will let you join the mail list.
As to adding your "stuff" on line just click on "user cp" up top again and it will give you access to editing all your profile info.

I have just finished a mail to calyachts.org asking same question.
Perhaps if you hear before me.... and vice versa.
