The boat is solid, pretty much stock accomodations.
The sails and rigging are in decent shape.
The rudder needs a little work, there are visible cracks, I think it takes on water.
The main hatch cover is missing, I built something temporary, but it needs replacement.
The interior cabin paint is peeling.

I think it is a great boat, I bought it for the family. My wife doesn't like the way sailboats heel, so it sits in dry dock costing me storage every year.

Question Details

Thanks for that. Bit more though please. What makes the trailer not street legal? Condition of sails and rigging? Engine? Do you have her listed elsewhere with complete details and photos?
I ask 'cos it's a long way from Florida!

The trailer is not street legal because is was custom made for this boat from a scrapped mobile home chassis. In order to get it registered in the state of New York (or Connecticut where I purchased the boat) one must supply receipts and parts lists.... The previous owner lived in a small community close to several marinas, he stored the boat at his home and trailered it to one of the marinas for launching. The boat has three sails, I am not sure of the size of the genoa. I am not sure how good they are but I am reasonably certain that they are not damaged. The running rigging is all in very good shape. I remember one of the stays was looking a little tired. The engine was decent but the exhaust smelled up the cabin. I planned to drop a beta marine diesel in.... I installed a pertronix electronic ignition, and bought an electric fuel pump that I did not install. I hurt my back and and had no motivation to work on the boat since my wife said she wasn't going out with me anymore.

The boat is not advertised elsewhere, I was hoping it would find a good home with a cal lover... For the amount of money I will take for the boat I would be astonished if you were disappointed.

I would suggest getting it professionally trailered to it's destination, get the atomic running perfectly (or replace with something more modern), inspect the standing rigging and replace anything if necessary. Remember there are some visible cracks in the rudder that should be addressed.

Cal 29

Where is this boat? Do you have any pictures? You would be astonished how fast I would buy the right boat. Give me some details.

The boat is in a yard in Suffolk County on the north shore. I do not have any pictures at this time. I can take some photos this week end, the boat is sandwiched on all four sides, so I am not sure if I can get good exterior shots, I'll try. If you are in the area send me an email, you can come take a look for yourself.
