Cal 20 Reefing System

Im new to sailing, bought a cal 20 about two months ago and plan on spending some time refitting her this winter. Ive been reading Steve Seal's article (A Classy 20 Footer - cant post links yet) and alot of the modifications made in the article make sense to me (and my location). I just wish there was a little more detailed information on some of the rigging setups.

Im particularly interested in a reefing system, my boat has none, and Id like to set one up over the winter. Does anyone have systems that work particularly well for them? The internal block system mentioned in the article sounds appealing, im just not sure how to lead the lines in and out of the boom.

Mine has a roller reefing boom. You just pull it away fron the gooseneck a little and turn. Then there is a cringle on both the luff and the leech you can tighten up. I also have tie downs in the mainsail that tighten it up a bit. I think Steve has the roller boomend in his catalog.
