as long we have fun, I am not that much into looks, more into functionality!
But thanks, we had a blast my daughter 21 month loved it.

Bonito, if you go up to the top bar to between *store* and *articles* you will see
*resources*
the drop down includes
*photo galley*
as an option. Hit that and you should find links to *upload* on the right side. Then it's pretty straightforward. that should work for you!

Well, I no longer have a CAL 21, but I do have a lot of pictures and 38 years of CAL 21 experience. The drawing of the keel plug on the ww.cal21 web is based on NODROG's original Jensen Marine supplied keel plug, modified by my Dad after the original design of using 2 bungee cords to hold it in place failed. The hinge was originally a smal lbutt hinge and that pulled out of the wood after less than a month of sailing. The strap hinge shown was the repair. I'll try to answer any questions, my only problem is that I can't just offer to take pics of any fetures of our boat.......that is one problem of selling our pride and joy! But as I said.... I do have a lot of old (and not so old!) pics that may help!
I have added 3 pics of our keel plug and one of the original cover for the keel well. I can supply higher resolution pics if needed.

Oh, and posting pics in the response is easy!
Note at the bottom of the page it gives 2 options, "Post Quick Reply" and "Go Advanced". The Go Advanced option allows posting a picture or several, then click on "Manage Attachments" and upload using that tool. It does have limits on file size but I've never had a big problem posting pics, although I have had to reduce the file size once or twice using photo editting software (I use MS Paint)

Re: Hi, we too got a new/used Cal 21

Hey Folks, in a bit of a quandary here. I am about to put boat up on stanchions so can drop keel. INterior of vessel is a bit of a mess, but I, like others, am more into getting sailing than looking for a place to camp out. I see in pics posted by Bonito that he has replaced a lot of the plywood around the trunk. Some of my ply is rotted out - the half inch tables below the chainplates and some of the transverse "supports" at the front of the trunk and on the port side just aft of the keel bolt. Also some of the support for the port bunk is a bit wasted. A close inspection does not show me that any of this is necessary to support the trunk, but the current condition could be misleading. If there is any info on the need for any of this to be addressed from a safety point of view please holler. I just want to go sailing and there is lots of other work that needs doing! Thanks in advance. rippy
