Cool Re: Looking for other Cal 29 owners..

My "new" 1976 2-29 has a shower/head between the Vberth and "saloon."

I'm curious about other cockpit layouts. Mine has the MS traveler at present close (too close) to the companionway. However, it looks as though it was moved from just ahead of the steering pedestal.

Anyone measure the water capacity? My fwd tank does not appear large enough for the supposed 20 gal listed online.

Re: Looking for other Cal 29 owners..

Howzit Cal 2-29,
We're in Hawai'i. Haven't been on the forums in a while. Our 2-29 "shower" was converted to the stern behind the pedestal. Works good enough for a quick wash-off after a swim. Traveler is just forward of the pedestal. I believe that is the original position. We started with a Cal T-2 that had the traveler as you mentioned. It works but is sometimes in the way.Have not seen any other 2-29's here, at least not on North Shore, O'ahu. Our water tank definitely holds 20 gallons. Congrats to the Seahawks, They dominated. Commercials were good though. Looks like we can't post pics anymore, but we bagged a nice ONO last weekend. Good eating. Have fun out there.

I have a Cal 29 in the Puget Sound (Seattle). Doing an extensive overhaul/retrofit. Put in an instantaneous water heater shower and second water tank

I'm about 75 percent done with an Atomic 4 rebuild. What is the cost on a beta?
