Any one have an old Cal 1-30

Hi my name is Garrett and I just signed up. I have a 1964 Cal 30 (the model that had the 3/4 full keel and is almost imposible to find pics and info on) I am in the process of completly refiting her to cruise to the caribbean. I bought her for $4,000 and she needs everything. but thats another story...
I was woundering if anyone els here had one and would be willing to share pictures, stories or anything about their experiences with the boat. I just think its fun to relate to other owners of a rare or hard to find boat. if theres any reply or interest I have a bunch of pictures of my boat that I could post also. Thanks

Hi Garrett, We have a 1965 Cal 30 more commonly known as a Cal Jensen. I have pictures, original drawings, and even some factory pictures!. Good Old boat also did an article on these in issue 57 Nov/Dec 2007. Our Cal is Hull no. 69.

Awesome glad to finally here from someone else who has one. I would love to see pictures! Do you know anywhere online to find info? I dont really need to find out anything specific im just curious and want to talk to other people who have had them longer than me who can share there good or bad experiences, or maybe anything to look out for. am adjusting to the A4, thankfully ours runs great, just a bit concerned with the gas issue

we sail on a freshwater lake in GA, keeping her in the water year round, 1,200 miles of shoreline

would love tips and advice and am glad to share what little knowledge I have as well

I have a 1961 model Cal 30 (Cal Jensen) in the Hood Canal in Washington State. Anyone have any idea how many are left of the original 123? I would love to see pics of the inside of one of these oldies, so I could get an idea as to what I may do with mine (which needs a lot of TLC). Thanks!
I also have an AMI 24, that I sail frequently in the Hood Canal. Sailing a fjord is quite a challenge, with unpredictable weather, and rough water from time to time. The following are some pics of the Hood Canal from the deck of my AMI 24 "Vegvisir" taken this summer.

Awesome thanks for posting a picture of your cal! I have been working on the interior of mine for the past week refinishing all the wood. I'll try to post some pictures of that tomarrow. Here are a few pics of the boat the day I bought her. You can tell I really have my work cut out for me even though the pictures accually make the boat not look as bad as it did. I will post some recent pics tomarrow to show the work thats been done.

Wow, she's a beauty man! I love the design of these vessels, they are definitely unique and classic by comparison to other yachts of their class. I am moving on board mine tomorrow, spending the day cleaning her and finally getting the chance to bond with her. I found a new outboard drop-tab to install on her transom. I am renaming her, but haven't decided on a name yet, something Norwegian I suppose.
