Cal 20 Restoration Photo Galleries Restored
We've received quite a bit of email about the Cal 20 restoration galleries we posted back in 2004. Apple.com decided to discontinue support for the sites back in Nov 2010, and only this weekend did I find time to repost them all on a new site:
Cal 20 Restoration
The only thing I haven't moved over yet are the captions, but I hope to do that gradually since there are quite a few.
A follow-up: the work we did seven years ago is holding up remarkably well. The two part deck paint is fine, the seals are fine, and the sails and OB are great. We've done the bottom paint a couple of times more, but no osmosis issues.
The only water ingress was around the two bolts that hold the wooden motor mount to hull (near the motor well). My brother plans to seal both of the holes entirely and just epoxy the wood back into the place to make the hull more water tight. We both admit that we can't recall if we did caulking around those bolts... I should look at the pictures.
