Had a blast took her out all night

Well yesterday was my first time out (other than two hours to learn the basics from the previous owner). A couple friends and I decided to do some fishing and take her out. I cheated on the way out and used the little 6hp yamaha I got off craigslist. And we ended up fishing til 3am.....no we didn't catch any thing. Hey at least we had a good time bs'ing though. Anyway we decided to head back at about 3 and everything went smooth. Had a 12 mph wind and it carried us back nicely. Now they want one

Way to go. Night sailing can be much fun. As for the Yamaha, nah, not cheating. If god had not meant us to motor through the calms , would he have given us propellors ? I think not.

Thanks and yes it was fun. I look forward to learning more and becoming at least competent. Work was a killer today but worth it

Sounds great, I love night sailing and fishing, hardly ever catch anything.
Came into the harbour the other night about 2am after 12 hours rough sailing and had to lay off due to not finding the Balbriggan sectored light. Slunk in very cautiously, rocks on both sides , and discovered it had been out for a couple of nights.
Safe sailing

That would be nerve wrecking. I took a big spotlight just in cas and today I lucked into a go light 2100 for 75 bucks that's never been used.
