Decoding Hull Number on Cal 30 - 1965

I just got the deal closed on the 1965 Cal 30 I am buying and see that the ID number is 50663.

Since I know that it is a 1965, can I assume that this HIN breaks down to:

5 - 1965
06 - June ?
63 - Hull #63 out of about 200 built?

Anyone know this for sure?

That is not a HIN it is a number chosen and configured by the builder. HIN/MIC's were not required in the US until 1971. Only the original builder can tell you or maybe an owners association.
You can find a complete explantion of HIN's here.
