Caliber List Discontinued

Former Caliber email list members:

The email list that we have used for years has been discontinued. You can find more info about this at different sites on the Sailnet forum.

We need to decide where to go to continue the email list. There is already a Caliber email list formed at: caliberyachts : Caliber Yacht Owners It appears as though there are 21 members on this list already. This list also has the capacity to post photos of repairs, modifications, etc.

Another option would be to continue on the forum on the Sailnet website. This option has its own issues however. (What if Sailnet then decides to abruptly discontinue the forums, etc., etc.)

I did not receive an email about where the group is going to reform. If anyone has info on where former group members are going to reform, please post it on this website so others can see it.

It will be a bit of doing to get everyone reassembled into a new Caliber email list, but we need to start the process. It was a good exchange of information and ideas and is definitely worth pursuing. It makes owning, maintaining and sailing the boat more interesting and more fun. Also, if anyone has an old list of email addresses for former group members, that would be helpful in the process.

Caliber list discontinued

I agree, it was a valuable forum, and I'm not sure this current forum will work as well. I haven't seen any postings on the e-mail in a while, so can only assume that the e-mail lash-up isn't working. This was one of the more valuable features since most of us don't visit web sites as a commom regular practice.

What's the best way forward? I don't know but am willing to get behind any good lead. I know the Caliber Cruising Club newsletter has a pretty good list of Caliber owners, with e-mail addresses, so if we're trying to compile a list of Caliber owners this might be a good place to start. And of course the Caliber owners list mentioned below should be a good source as well

I'm less interested in the medium format as I am in the amount of owners involved and activity. Sailnet is fine with me. Yahoo groups is fine, too, but that seems to be completely inactive.

Sorry to do this but I would like to send someone an email on this and the rules say I must post 10 times before I can do that. So here is number one.

#3 Considering Caliber 40

My husband and I are starting to search for our next boat. We hope to make "The Jump" to cruisers in 5 yrs. We want to get the boat in the next 2 yrs. We really like the Caliber 40. We toured the factory in May. We would need to get a used boat. I would love to her comments and thoughts good and bad.

Caliber Owners Email List

Attention Caliber Owners:

After reviewing recent activity, the best place for Caliber owners to meet, seems to be at:

caliberyachts : Caliber Yacht Owners

Membership on this yahoo email list is growing and the activity level on the list has been good. If you haven't done so already, please join this email list to participate in discussions about Caliber sailboats.

Right on! I'm really happy to see an active owner's forum!
