7 days in the Bahamas. What should I put on the list?

What are the "must sees" in the Bahamas? I have been to Bimini, Lucaya, and a few other places, but if you had to pick 5 best places to see, what would they be?

Re: 7 days in the Bahamas. What should I put on the list?

If you only have 7 days, it really depends where you are starting out from. By far, the Exumas are the best cruising grounds in the Bahamas. If you are starting and ending your trip in FL, its too far to go. If you are starting and stopping in Nassau, it's a no brainer (assuming you are on a sailboat and not a 40 knot go-fast)...The Bahamas is a big place with lots of diverse things to do and see. If you like beach bars and lots of social activity then you can easily spend a week island hopping in the Abacos. If you want to get off the beaten path you can explore the Berry Islands. If you like shopping, dining out and casinos, you can visit Nassau or Freeport/Lucaya. But, for the clearest water, best divibg/snorkeling and endless deseted white sand beaches...then it's the Exumas, or beyond to the out islands like Cat Island, Long Island, San Salvador, Rum Cay etc.

Every other time I have been in the Bahamas I have been restricted. This time, we are on 70mph Sea Doos, so we can get anywhere pretty quickly.

Depends on where you're starting. You're going to the bahamas on a jetboat???

Re: 7 days in the Bahamas. What should I put on the list?

We start going to Bimini. One night there, then I guess the Berry Islands. We won't do Lucaya as I have been there too many times already. We are going to alternate finding a room somewhere and camping on the beach.

Then swing by Nassau and on the the Exumas. Check out Thunderball Grotto and Big Major's Cay. Maybe hit Harbor Cay on the way back.

Any must sees in those areas? We don't care that much about beach bars. We are more interested in the snorkeling and breathtaking scenery.

Will do. GoPro style. Of course, I would prefer to take six months and do this with the sailboat, but that isn't in the cards.

We made it. Chop was rough, so we could only go 15mph or so.
