Grenadines, our favorite Caribbean islands

The Grenadines are our favorite Caribbean islands. For more information, you might take a look at our website, which has been on-going for over three years with monthly updates. Hundreds of pictures and a plethora of text.

There's also a bit of information on how we did it on a shoestring, buying an old production (read, cheap and heavy) boat, purchasing nearly everything on eBay, and doing it all ourselves. Now, we cruise on Social Security. See, getting old does have some benefits!

You too, can live in the Caribbean islands. We're currently in the Golfo de Cariaco, on the coast of Venezuela, down here for the H-season.

Best regards,

Kathleen and Roland

I am looking forward to going to the Grenadines one day. Hopefully sooner, rather than later. I have booked marked your blog and I am sure that I will read it with much interest. Thanks very much for sharing.

I love the Grenadines. I've been there three times - so far. Truly a jewel on the face of the Earth.

The Grenadines are simply amazing. Bequia is one of my absolute favorite places in the world. The Tobago Keys are beautiful as well.

Yup - gotta agree! This is our "home" cruising area. Check out my website, too! Prettiest place I know of, and friendliest people, too!

I was lucky enough to visit Grenada the summer after our military's "police action" there. Still bullet marks on trees, Russian trucks in the ditches, etc. I was amazed to be stopped on the street when I was identified as an American with people thanking me for what the U.S. had done. They said, "When you get home tell everyone that Mr. Reagan and Mr. Buse done right!" There was grafitti on buildings about the "American Heroes". Unusual experience to say the least.
