Bahamas & fees

I plan to sail from Jacksonville Fl. to Jamaica in April or May 2010. My question is that I want to stop in Mathew Town, SE corner of the Bahamas, to stock up with water and an overnight rest. Will I be charged cruising fees for this one stop?

No you will not. Overnight rest, repairs, fuel and water only does not require one. Just make sure ; #1 you fly the "Q" flag and #2 be able to prove you are just passing through to any Port Authority officers.

Great question, I always wondered that myself. But, to be sure is there a phone number or web site to ask the Bahamian authorities? Being charged 300 bucks just to get some fuel an water sound like a big sur charge.
