Crew visa rules for Bahamas

Hey sailors! What are the rules for crew member visas in Bahamas? They are from Ukraine, no Bahamian embassy there, closest one in London, they can fly to Nassau, where I'll meet with my boat, one sailor told me - go to the airport with cruising permit and they can get their visas there, is it true?
They are my friends, so does it make difference for Bahamian immigration if they come as friends or crew members, from visa point?
Any advice? Thanks

Re: Crew visa rules for Bahamas

Your friends need a Visa and Passport before they get there (I think from reading) -

Also, for your friends.....If arriving by air, a return or onward ticket, as well as sufficient funds for your stay, must be produced. In the event of arriving by air and planning to leave by boat and having arrived without such a ticket, a copy of the cruising permit (with the crew member named on the manifest) must be produced.

One more link -

I hope this helps.
