Oil canning hull of older Catalina Capri 22
I'm thinking of buying an older Capri 22. The YC manager showed me that when you press on the hull above the waterline, it compresses half an inch or so. He thinks it is delaminated.
Is this a true test of that?
Is it a problem it that is the case?
How thick should the fiberglass be above the waterline?
It doesn't happen on the bottom so I wonder if this is actually normal.
If not, has anyone had this happen and what if anything did you do about it?
