Catalina 22 Motor Mount

Hi everyone,

I just recently purchased a 1983 Catalina 22. First we motored around in the harbor to see if there were any potential leaks. After a 3 hour drive home the next morning a took the motor off. The next day I noticed that the motor mount had caved in on the sides. Does anyone know what might have caused this?

Could you be more specific about the "caved in" comment? I have a 1976 Catalina 22 and I am trying to figure out what exactly you mean.
